Sneak preview of my upcoming art project for 2017: I embrace the challenge of creating mixed media books using textiles, block prints, hand embroidery, thread, and beading.
The most exciting part will be using the wonderful library at the Smithsonian National Museum of African Art and interacting with scholars.
I have been using the National Museum of African Art as a resource for many of my commissioned projects since moving to Baltimore and they have a rich and amazing collection!
I am not sure where this project will lead, and I embrace the journey and experience!
