My Art in the Time of a Pandemic
Slow stitching pages . . .
Stitch by stitch, the pages of my new books are coming along. I usually embroider abstract designs on the textile pages; However, being home day after day has reminded me of my early years of studying arts and crafts. In the 1970s, arts and crafts were mandatory in my primary school, and each year we had to complete rather complex projects. Those early days of NYC schools integrating science, math, English language, and art were instrumental in my development as an artist.
