Deltiology - Terminology for the study of postcards. Taken from Greek δελτίον, deltion, diminutive of δέλτος, deltos, writing tablet, letter; and -λογία, -logia. This term was first used by Professor Randall Rhodes of Ashland, Ohio in 1945. Alternate words for the study of postcards is Cartology and Cartophilist.
