London: Poetry and Performance Workshop

"If you don't see a place for yourself, make it," Rakaya Fetuga began the poetry and performance workshop at Foundling Museum.

The workshop was well organized.
Rakaya and members of Assemblage Collective distributed informative and fun writing prompts related to the history of the Foundling Museum such as "The Story of your Name," "Token Portrait," and "Rooting or Uprooting." The working space was filled with creative tools such as notebooks, pens, markers, and extra paper.  They also supplied healthy and sweet snacks and drinks.

The performance space was spectacular and very inviting!

Everyone read their poem and you can view the entire performance on Assemblage Collective's IG account.

What a wonderful day of poetry and reflection!
